We’re mixing up a Sojourner Vermouth in honor of Sojourner Truth, a woman who was a Woman with a capital W (whether she said it or not). Follow me on Insta! @FeministCocktailHour https://www.instagram.com/feministcocktailhour/ Sojourner Vermouth Recipe 1.5 oz. Vermouth 1.5 oz. Caramel Vodka 2 oz. Kahlua or Coffee Liqueur Stir and serve neat. Mini Dutch Apple Babies Recipe 1) Pre-heat oven and standard 12-well muffin tin to 350 degrees. 2) Mix batter: 1 cup flour, ¼ cup sugar, pinch of salt, 1 cup milk, 1 tsp. vanilla and four eggs. Add 3 oz. diced and browned apple chicken sausage. 3) Carefully add ½ tablespoon of butter to each pre-heated muffin well, pour in batter, cook for 12-15 minutes. 4) While Dutch babies are baking, make apple filling: 2 apples: cored and diced, 2 Tbsp brown sugar, 2 Tbsp Butter, 1 Tbsp. Maple Syrup, Dash of Cinnamon. 5) When dutch babies are cooked through, remove from oven. Using a round cutter hollow out the center of each and add in apple filling. Recipe Notes: --I initially believed these would be like sweet popovers, they are much more comparable to Yorkshire pudding. --I did end up cooking mine for much longer than 12 minutes, closer to 30 or 40 (which may be an issue with my oven). --I recommend cooking in baking cups you can peel away for ease of service and eating. **My episodes are generally researched, filmed and posted in just a few hours. I strive for accuracy, but occasionally there are errors or omissions. --I poke fun at the sanitized daguerreotype of Truth holding knitting. It should be noted that even though this photo was staged to make her seem like a safe, sweet old lady: Sojourner Truth was a great knitter. --At around 7:15, I use the word “wicked.” That’s a quote, not my word. I believe it comes from her autobiography. --Throughout this episode, I believe I mispronounce the last name VanWagenen. --I may be overstating when I say that she lived on communes with William Lloyd Garrison and Frederick Douglass. She did live on multiple communes. Revisiting the stage when u already defeated all of them does not make the music play. I've tried a raw rip from the gamefiles too, unfortunately with not much luck. The files are encrypted and theres several keys that i have to use in order to decrypt these. Im too unexperienced for that. Note: This is NOT as Clear as the original ost uploaded by the composer!
